Woodland School, a small independent school near Stanford celebrating its 35th year, found that its existing WordPress site was static and costly to maintain—requiring custom HTML edits and outside developer hours that drained the capacity of a one-person marketing team and prevented the website from accurately representing the dynamic life of the school.
The school partnered with Finalsite and implemented its Composer CMS, a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG editor that nontechnical staff can use. Within months the new site launched with news, blogs, a faculty directory and editable admissions and calendar pages; staff can now update content directly, delegate tasks, train colleagues quickly, and are moving toward a parent portal to centralize family resources—improving marketing, engagement, and reducing maintenance overhead.
