Strengthening School-to-Home Communications with an Improved Mobile Strategy

Northbrook School District 27 wanted to improve school-to-home communications with a mobile strategy that would be easy for parents to use and avoid frustrating glitches. As an existing Finalsite website customer, the district chose the Finalsite App to create a more reliable, parent-friendly communication channel.

Finalsite implemented the app using its Create Once Publish Everywhere (C.O.P.E.) functionality, allowing district staff to publish content from the website to the app in one click. The launch was a success: 950 parents downloaded the app in the first month, a 73% adoption rate based on 1,300 students, and the district saw strong community response thanks to features like content filtering, posts, and push notifications.
