Mt. Lebanon School District - Customer Case Study

Mt. Lebanon School District faced a website redesign challenge: with ten schools and multiple audiences (parents, students, staff and the broader community) the district needed a CMS and content strategy that balanced strong design, consistent branding, easy editing and reliable backend systems. Success required close collaboration between communications and IT to set district-wide roles, standards and a user-focused information architecture.

Mt. Lebanon paired its Director of Communications and technology lead from the start, implemented a multi-editor CMS, trained principals to own their sites, and standardized design elements and content rules. The result was a streamlined, user-centered website that better showcases school stories, simplifies content management, drew widespread positive feedback and earned the district national recognition in the 2015–2016 Digital School Districts Survey.
