Benedictine College Preparatory (BCP), a Richmond, VA boys’ school with a long history of academic rigor and leadership training, faced a branding problem: prospective families perceived it as strictly a military prep school and not the broader, mission-driven institution it is. Leadership wanted to change that image and attract and retain better-fit students without losing the positive aspects of discipline and structure.
The school launched a strategic website redesign focused on storytelling and social proof — a video highlight reel, alumni profiles, a college-attendance infographic and refreshed copy, plus social media integration and “A Day in the Life” pages — to showcase the full range of student outcomes. The new site reframed BCP’s mission, clarified its value to families, and created stronger recruitment messaging that has already shifted perception and is expected to boost enrollment and retention of better-fit students.
