American School of Guatemala Begins Five-Year Strategic Plan With New Website

The American School of Guatemala (CAG), a 70+-year bilingual college-preparatory school serving about 1,600 students, launched a five-year strategic plan to strengthen academics, recruit top teachers, upgrade facilities and improve financial sustainability. An outdated, bulletin-board–style website and a low-profile culture left the school struggling to tell its story, reach prospective families, engage alumni and support changing enrollment dynamics.

Partnering with Finalsite and new marketing leadership, CAG rebuilt its site on the Composer CMS with an admissions-focused design—engaging videos, student stories, an outcomes infographic, a clear admissions landing page and integrated online admissions tools—while hiring a webmaster and expanding alumni outreach. The redesign clarified the brand (“meaningful lives”), streamlined admissions and community communication, and positioned the school to roll out additional Finalsite modules to sustain engagement and enrollment growth.
