Lumina Solar powers two off-grid homes in New Zealand with FIMER's 9.68kW micro-grid solution

Lumina Solar, a solar installer, was tasked with helping two couples in New Zealand become energy self-sufficient after they were quoted over NZ$100,000 to connect their new homes to the electricity grid. They partnered with vendor FIMER to implement an off-grid solution using its UNO-DM-PLUS string inverters.

FIMER provided a micro-grid solution that integrated seamlessly with Victron equipment. The system, which was commissioned in October 2022, has been performing well, successfully producing power and even charging an electric vehicle during testing. The customer was impressed with the system's performance, which will fully support the first home upon its completion in late 2023.
