EF Solare Italia revamps 7 solar plants with FIMER, renewing over 6.4 MWp

EF Solare Italia, a leading photovoltaic operator in Europe, undertook a project to revamp seven of its solar plants in Puglia, Italy. Their challenge was to upgrade the plants to increase efficiency and performance. They partnered with vendor FIMER to replace the existing inverters with their next-generation PVS-100/120-TL string inverters.

FIMER implemented a solution that involved replacing the old inverters with 59 of their new units, which are designed for high efficiency and reliability. A sequential approach was also used to regenerate existing transformers for sustainable reuse. As a result, over 6.4 MWp of capacity was renewed. Four of the seven plants have already been reconnected to the grid, with full completion expected by the end of 2025. This project with FIMER enhances the value of the solar assets and supports Italy's decarbonization goals.
