FileWave Inituitive Software Management Saves Time and Manpower for IT Staff at Washington Township

MSD Washington Township, a large Indianapolis school district responsible for more than 5,000 Apple and PC desktops and a growing iPad deployment, struggled with time-consuming, manual software installs, multiple versions of state testing software (ISTEP), and managing apps/accounts on student iPads. To address cross-platform deployment and mobile device management needs, the district adopted FileWave’s device-management software.

FileWave implemented its App Portal, Kiosk and MDM features so a single admin could push software, roll out or recall test banks, and enable self-service app downloads with self-healing recovery. The result: software deployments that once took days now take minutes, FileWave is running on over 5,000 desktops and 300 iPads, manpower and time savings that more than covered the district’s investment, and simplified ISTEP updates and iPad management across the district.
