FileWave Inituitive Software Management makes MDM Easy for the IT Staff and Students at ZHAW

Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), one of Switzerland’s largest universities with over 9,700 students, faced the challenge of managing campus computers and a growing variety of student‑owned devices across a three‑year hardware refresh cycle. The IT team needed a simple, flexible MDM and image/software deployment solution to replace cumbersome six‑monthly imaging and manual installs; FileWave (FileWave Inituitive Software Management) was recommended to address these needs.

FileWave was rolled out to deploy 30–50 applications, updates, printer drivers and configuration filesets to the first third of ZHAW’s network and will scale to manage all computers and MDM devices by the end of the three‑year replacement cycle.
