Keela is a Vancouver-based platform that simplifies nonprofit management by combining CRM, donation tracking, compliant receipt generation, and communications in one place. Facing the need to immediately import donor info and donation amounts, display receipts as PDFs, email them and securely store them in a CRM in real time, Keela relied on third-party integrations — including Filestack — to avoid building complex file-processing infrastructure in-house.

Filestack’s front-end packages were integrated with Keela’s Meteor and MongoDB backend and used Filestack’s direct connections to Azure and AWS to meet Canadian data residency requirements. The integration automated hundreds of file uploads per month, enabled a Canadian product launch, and saved Keela an estimated $25,000 CAD and three months of development time, making Filestack a critical part of their stack.
