Document Management to Improve Information Sharing

The RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) is a UK charity founded in 1919 that provides care and support to RAF personnel and their families, spending over £22 million annually to help more than 68,000 people. As an independent charity with low overheads, the RAFBF faced a major operational challenge: large, long-running paper case files and archives made finding, accessing and sharing information slow and space-intensive, especially when downsizing premises.

Working with systems integrator I-Quest, the RAFBF scanned and migrated its archives into FileHold document management, with all new documents either saved electronically or scanned directly into case folders. FileHold’s full-text indexing and auto-tagging streamlined search and retrieval, now linking case content across systems, improving document sharing, speeding access from hours to moments, and strengthening compliance and data protection.
