Tipmont REMC is a member-owned rural electric cooperative in Indiana serving about 25,000 users. The utility faced a growing data-security problem when employees used unsecured consumer file-sharing accounts (eg. free Dropbox), leaving sensitive member and operational data without centralized control, visibility or a reliable offboarding process — yet the organization still needed convenient file sync and sharing for its staff.

Tipmont implemented FileCloud on-premise, gaining granular access controls, Active Directory single sign-on, audit logs, activity alerts and remote device wipe, all running on their Debian/Ubuntu servers.
