SFS finds success with value-driven approach to file management

The SFS Group, a global leader in mechanical fastening systems headquartered in Switzerland with more than 70 sites worldwide, needed to improve information access and management for a wide variety of file types and mobile users. The company required an on‑premises solution that preserved data control, supported iOS, Android and Windows devices, offered advanced sharing and granular download controls, simple installation and administration, and could integrate with existing NTFS permissions and Active Directory.

SFS deployed FileCloud on its secure intranet, enabling field staff to access the central data store from laptops, tablets and phones while IT retained full control through role‑based access, admin tools and reuse of existing permissions. The solution’s OpenOffice/browser file viewing, strong support and flexible storage options (local and cloud) delivered a fast rollout, scalable management of thousands of users and millions of files, and noticeably improved remote access and collaboration.
