India’s First Paperless Cabinet Meeting made possible by FileCloud

FileCloud was chosen as part of a national e‑governance initiative led by NISG to help the Government of Andhra Pradesh move away from paper-based cabinet meetings. Facing the challenge of securely distributing agendas and minutes across a state of over 49 million people, the cabinet became the first of India’s 29 states to adopt an e‑cabinet model, enabling ministers to access documents electronically on iPads and other devices.

FileCloud delivered a self‑hosted private cloud with multi‑device sync and sharing, initially for 30 users, plus security controls including a four‑digit app PIN, server password protection and remote wipe. The result was immediate: user‑friendly, secure paperless sessions with same‑day distribution of agendas and minutes, improved confidentiality, streamlined decision‑making and capacity to scale as needed.
