A FileCloud Case Study
Global Banking Group is a historic, multinational BSFI institution—among the world’s top 60 banks with 13 million customers and ~40,000 staff—operating multiple branded banks under one umbrella. Facing legacy systems, regional data‑residency and regulatory requirements, and insecure file‑sharing practices (ZIPs by email, encrypted USBs, CDs), the group needed a secure, minimally disruptive way to modernize collaboration while preserving brand-specific experiences and integrating with existing SSO and auth directories.
The bank deployed FileCloud Server (self‑hosted) to meet those needs: multi‑tenant white‑labeling for each bank, flexible API integration with the banking platform and SSO, OPSWAT DLP classification, SIEM auditing, Zero Trust File Sharing, retention automation, role‑based access and controlled workflows. Rolled out from 5,000 to 20,000 users (target 40,000) across 15+ servers, the solution improved security and compliance, reduced risky ad‑hoc sharing, preserved customer trust, and delivered centralized monitoring and reporting.
