First United Bank, a West Texas community bank with about 300 employees, needed a private file synchronization and sharing solution that would give employees and non-employee board members secure mobile access to confidential documents. The bank required tight security and audit controls to meet banking regulations, seamless integration with its existing Active Directory, device-level controls (including iPad and Android support and read-only settings), data leakage prevention and a cost-effective deployment.

First United Bank selected FileCloud and integrated it into its existing infrastructure without moving data or reconfiguring permissions. FileCloud’s AD integration, device inventory and detailed activity/access logs met the bank’s compliance needs while enabling secure external mobile access for executives and board members. The solution was well received by users, gave IT the monitoring and control required, and is being expanded with additional features.
