Marion County Simplifies Student Enrollment and Central Office Processes

Marion County Public Schools, a Florida district serving more than 43,000 students across 58 campuses, needed a way to manage millions of student and personnel records without relying on overflowing paper storage. With FileBound, the district set out to digitize decades of archived files and modernize central office processes, while also planning for a more convenient enrollment experience for families.

FileBound implemented a digital records solution that securely stores student and faculty files for fast search and retrieval, reducing the burden of paper storage and improving access for transcripts, reviews, and personnel management. The results included easier record handling, better security and disaster recovery, and a move toward online student enrollment starting in 2018, with more than 9 million older records being back-scanned and current records planned for digitization over four years.
