NZSki operates Mt Hutt, the South Island’s largest alpine ski area, where a six-person maintenance team manages everything from lifts and groomers to water and waste systems. The team struggled with fragmented, manual processes — paper work orders, Excel spreadsheets and an online notice board — which made preventive maintenance hard to track, historical records difficult to find and seasonal continuity unreliable.
NZSki implemented Fiix’s cloud CMMS to centralize work orders, task lists and PM schedules accessible on any internet device. Within 18 months the resort saw faster, more thorough maintenance: PMs are completed on time, asset histories are permanent and reporting that once took days can now be run instantly. The change improved equipment reliability, reduced emergency repairs, saved staff time and strengthened safety and compliance.
