How Figma helped Sounds app reach 150k likes on Facebook

Sounds App, a music-video sharing service, faced stagnant Facebook performance—about 10–20 likes per post and a weekly reach of roughly 500 of their 14k fans—while operating on a tight budget and with a one-person marketing team. Outsourcing to an agency would have cost $3k–$5k+ per month, so Sounds App turned to their designer’s choice of tool, Figma, to build editable, branded social templates that a non-designer could use daily.

Using Figma templates, the community manager began producing and posting higher-engagement content (tracked with branch.io links) and boosting top posts with minimal ad spend ($5–$25/day). The results were dramatic: post likes grew into the thousands, weekly reach topped 1M, Facebook page likes quadrupled to 60k by February 2018 and surpassed 150k a month later, all with under $3k total ad spend versus an estimated $20k+ agency cost—demonstrating Figma’s role in enabling rapid, cost-effective social growth.
