A Figma Case Study
Dwell, a design and media company, needed a fast, inclusive way to gather feedback, brainstorm company goals, and source editorial ideas across the whole organization. To replace heavier workflows, Dwell adopted FigJam from Figma as a lightweight, open canvas for “swarms” — 10–15 minute, company-wide brainstorming sessions that let anyone jump in to comment on wireframes, metrics, or story ideas.
Using Figma’s FigJam, Dwell set a weekly hour for swarms and encouraged quick, focused prompts; CEO Zach Klein used a 10-minute session to gather company-wide input on a new performance metric. The approach drove broad participation (nearly half the company in some swarms), produced measurable outcomes (100+ ranked editorial ideas from a single 10-minute session), and delivered rapid, actionable feedback in minutes.
