A Figma Case Study
Deliveroo, a fast-growing food delivery platform operating in more than 500 cities across 13 markets, faced collaboration breakdowns as its 40+ person design, content and research teams scaled. Siloed product groups and a fragmented toolchain (Sketch, Dropbox, Zeplin, Abstract, etc.) caused file‑sync issues, slow handoffs and repetitive screenshots-and-email workflows. To address this, Deliveroo evaluated collaborative design platforms and adopted Figma’s cloud-based design tool.
Using Figma, Deliveroo consolidated design work into a single, collaborative document and one master design library (feeding two sub-libraries), replacing five separate tools and eliminating sync pain points. Figma’s real-time collaboration, in-file commenting and shared components sped feedback loops, simplified onboarding, made changes update across products in one swoop, and increased visibility of design work across the company — elevating speed of execution and team alignment for Deliveroo.
