Strategic Building Services (SBS), an OSHPD healthcare inspection and quality assurance firm, was charged with certifying the complex Loma Linda University Medical Center — a 940,000 sq ft, $900M project with multiple patient towers, a 6‑story podium, proximity to seismic faults, and a tight 2020 completion schedule. To manage inspections, compliance and document control across numerous trades and locations, SBS implemented Fieldwire by Hilti, a mobile and desktop platform for plan versioning, issue tracking and task management.

Using Fieldwire by Hilti, SBS centralized drawings and files, ran field inspections through the app’s task system, attached geolocated photos with timestamps, and made markups and links to streamline workflows. The result was immediate: improved productivity and individual accountability, faster issue resolution, and a dramatic reduction in administrative back‑and‑forth — from hours to seconds when finding and sharing information — translating into time and cost savings on the Loma Linda project.
