DC Electric, a family-owned electrical contractor in Idaho Falls, faced time-consuming, paper-based workflows—binders, manual project handbooks, daily reports and heavy email use—that consumed roughly 25% of each workday. To modernize field operations they adopted Fieldwire by Hilti, using the Fieldwire app and its custom forms to replace paper plans, reports and bid templates.

Fieldwire by Hilti built and deployed custom digital forms and mobile reporting so crews can log daily reports, bids and site data from iPhones and get instant office approvals. The change made DC Electric about 90% paperless (aiming for 100%), eliminated most onsite email, improved transparency and estimating, and saved an estimated 2–3 hours per person per day.
