Beyer Boys, a San Antonio–based HVAC and plumbing maintenance contractor with about $18 million in annual revenue and nearly 30 years of experience, needed a better way to coordinate plans, photos and documentation between field crews and office staff to reduce delays, risk exposure and miscommunication on large commercial projects. To modernize operations they adopted the Fieldwire by Hilti construction app to replace paper binders and streamline access to drawings, submittals and daily reports.

Using Fieldwire by Hilti, Beyer Boys moved plans and files to mobile devices, implemented photo-backed tasks and daily reports, and piloted the system with five iPad-equipped employees before rolling it out company-wide to 100+ staff. The vendor’s app centralized documentation, cut hundreds of emails and calls, increased accountability and billing accuracy, and provided photo evidence that helped avert a potential lawsuit — delivering measurable time savings, fewer delays and stronger risk protection.
