S&W Services, Inc., a Syracuse-based, multi-location petroleum equipment distributor and factory-authorized service provider, was overwhelmed by field technician paperwork—about 150 orders daily—forcing four back-office coordinators to spend roughly eight hours a day on data entry, reconciliation, scanning, and filing. To address this, S&W selected FieldConnect, Inc.’s FieldAccess remote electronic work order and time-entry software, which integrates with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Sage CRE) to stream job data in real time between the field and back office.

FieldConnect, Inc.’s FieldAccess replaced paper processes with real-time electronic entries, drastically reducing errors and back-office workload. As a result, S&W nearly doubled its field force from 17 to 30 technicians while keeping the same four coordinators—improving back-office efficiency by 76% (one coordinator now manages 7.5 technicians vs. 4.25 previously)—and cutting coordinator data-entry time to as little as 15 minutes a day, enabling more customer-facing activities and faster service.
