Michael Angelo’s, a maker of high-quality Italian-prepared frozen foods, faced the challenge of driving awareness and first-time purchases for its new frozen meat lasagna in specific retail locations. Traditional marketing was not effective, so they turned to the vendor, Field Agent, and its Digital Demo® service to target local shoppers and launch the product.

Field Agent’s solution used its mobile app to mobilize shoppers to buy, try, and then rate the lasagna. High ratings were turned into online articles, which shoppers could share. For Field Agent, this program resulted in 551 units sold, 454 first-time purchases, 500 online articles created, and 120 customers indicating they repurchased the product, providing an organic and measurable path to brand growth.
