How Quip used Fictiv from prototype to production, to launch and scale with speed and agility

Quip, a Brooklyn-based oral care company redesigning the electric toothbrush, needed a manufacturing partner that could match its rapid growth and support fast prototype iterations and quick production for retail launches. To meet those challenges Quip turned to Fictiv, using Fictiv’s rapid 3D printing for high‑fidelity prototyping and production injection molding for parts and retail packaging.

Fictiv delivered next‑day 3D prints through its online portal and got injection molding tools and packaging molds online in just three to four weeks, enabling the initial batch of plastic caps to be manufactured and delivered in four weeks (versus six to eight weeks with other partners). By providing a continuous path from design through prototyping to production, Fictiv sped up Quip’s development cycle, supported rapid design changes, and helped ensure the original design intent carried through to production.
