MTU Automates Global Business-Partner Due Diligence

MTU, the Rolls Royce Power Systems subsidiary and world leader in large reciprocating engines and propulsion systems, needed a better way to manage business-partner due diligence across its global sales network. To meet requirements under the UK Bribery Act and U.S. FCPA, MTU had to replace a manual, one-size-fits-all process with a risk-based, flexible workflow for onboarding, approval, and ongoing review of partners. FICO TONBELLER’s Siron®KYC was used to support this compliance challenge.

FICO TONBELLER implemented Siron®KYC to automate MTU’s partner due-diligence process with integrated questionnaires, external data sources, and a highly complex electronic approval matrix. The solution improved transparency, shortened onboarding and processing times, reduced manual effort, and created a documented audit trail; around 90 employees were trained to use it. MTU reported that the system now works smoothly in real time, with no idle or down times after go-live, and that compliance work has become much easier for everyone involved.
