Case Study: Arcada explores blockchain’s future with FIBRES

Mapping the future of a technology during its hype period

The customer, Arcada University of Applied Sciences, sought to research the societal impact, technological possibilities, and policy implications of blockchain during its emergence. Their challenge was to efficiently gather and analyze a large volume of information from diverse sources and to facilitate collaboration among a geographically dispersed team.

The vendor, FIBRES, provided its software as a solution, which the team used to store over 600 observations, classify data by theme and industry, and share comments to build collective insight. This enabled deep analysis, efficient collaboration, and the creation of a robust repository of information. The researchers found FIBRES to be an invaluable tool that simplified their foresight work and allowed them to easily connect topics and see connections between phenomena.
