Case Study: City of Bastrop expands network capacity and connectivity with FiberLight

A FiberLight Case Study

City of Bastrop adds 3 new 1Gbps circuits with FiberLight

The City of Bastrop, Texas, faced a challenge as its existing dark fiber network lacked the geographic reach and capacity to provide reliable, city-wide connectivity. This limitation inhibited digital opportunities for residents, businesses, and city services. To support ongoing growth and construction initiatives, the city needed a partner to expand its network with robust redundancy and bandwidth, leading them to work with vendor FiberLight.

FiberLight implemented a solution by adding three new 1Gbps Enhanced Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) circuits to the city's existing fiber ring. This expanded the network's capacity and redundancy, providing always-on capabilities to key locations like city hall, the library, and the convention center. The scalable solution from FiberLight built upon a previous partnership, providing a foundation to support Bastrop's future growth and its vision as an attractive destination for individuals and businesses.
