Preview of the Black Voters Matter Fund Case Study

Black Voters Matter Fund reached 1.4 million people online with Fenton

Black Voters Matter Fund, an organization dedicated to building Black voting power, faced significant challenges with voter suppression and intimidation targeting Black communities, particularly in southern and midwestern states, during the critical 2020 election year. Fenton partnered with them to design and execute a comprehensive national outreach campaign to combat this disenfranchisement and empower voters.

Fenton implemented a multi-faceted strategy that included earned media outreach, digital and creative media campaigns, virtual event support, and a cross-country bus tour. This solution secured over 70 national media placements in major outlets like The New York Times and CNN, along with extensive local coverage in 12 target states. The digital efforts expanded the organization's reach significantly, connecting with over 1.4 million people online and growing its email subscriber list by more than 2,000.
