KAB Allglass GmbH, a Hamburg-based glass distributor with about 40 employees, faced being squeezed between producers selling downstream and end users buying direct after a long‑time supplier withdrew. To remain competitive the company decided to start producing safety/tempered glass and invested in equipment and FeneVision ERP for glass fabricators to manage the added production and inventory complexity.
FeneVision was implemented for production in fall 2013 and rolled out across the company within four months, integrating order entry, inventory and production planning for roughly 400 customers. Within six months KAB reports being about 95% where they want to be—staff find FeneVision easy to use, many activities are now automated, reporting and adjustments are handled in-house, and the company has gained the flexibility and steady growth supported by FeneVision and FeneTech’s local support.
