Burris Windows, a Dallas-area window and door manufacturer in business for more than 30 years, had been running FeneVision since 2009 and was mid‑upgrade of its on‑premises servers when a ransomware attack brought production to a standstill. With limited internal IT resources, COO Reed Ashmore was unable to recover operations and called on FeneVision for emergency assistance.

FeneVision deployed its cloud‑hosted solution (AWS‑managed), leveraging an older database backup to restore the FeneVision environment and get production back online quickly. The cloud move removed the need for Burris to manage servers, delivered continuous availability during recovery (“it never went down once” per Reed), improved internet speed and throughput for users of FeneVision WEB, and converted large capital server costs into a scalable operational hosting model.
