The customer, Groover, is a music promotion platform that helps independent artists get their music heard. The challenge for their artists is overcoming the difficulty of gaining visibility and streams on major platforms without the support of a label, particularly in understanding and leveraging streaming algorithms and playlist placements to grow their audience.

The vendor, Feature.fm, through its Groover Obsessions program, provided a solution by using its platform to connect an artist with third-party playlist curators. For artist Mathieu Saïkaly's track "Neptune," the campaign resulted in 86 acceptances from 157 pitches. This led to a 33% increase in monthly listeners, over 10,000 streams in one month (compared to 6,582 for a previous track over nine months), and placement on 302 playlists. This increased visibility also helped the artist subsequently secure a coveted Spotify editorial playlist.
