UK wins Invictus Games gold with FDM Group after a 20-year Army career

The UK's Invictus Games team, through the Royal British Legion, supported former British Army Staff Sergeant David Jarvis in his challenge to train for and compete in the 2023 Invictus Games while managing a recent, serious Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis that had decimated his fitness and threatened his ability to participate.

FDM Group, whose Ex-Forces Programme employs David as a consultant, provided the flexible employment framework that allowed him the time and support needed to undertake this intense training. As a result of this support and his own determination, David Jarvis won a gold medal in the Men's Cycling Time Trial, was the fastest cyclist of the entire event, and is now preparing to compete in the 2025 Games and the Paralympics.
