The Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel and Casino uses FatPipe Technology for Business Continuity

American Casino and Entertainment Properties (ACEP), owner of the Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, centralizes web servers and critical systems for four properties—handling room reservations (about 70% made online), ticket sales, guest Internet and corporate email. After a fiber cut on the Las Vegas Strip caused a multi-hour outage and showed that manual failover between their 30 Mbps and 6 Mbps ISP lines was insufficient, ACEP selected FatPipe Networks and its FatPipe WARP solution to provide reliable business continuity.

ACEP installed FatPipe WARP at the Stratosphere to automatically and dynamically fail over outbound/inbound traffic and DNS queries, and to aggregate disparate ISP lines for greater resilience and cost savings. FatPipe Networks’ solution removed the need for time-consuming manual switches (previously leaving ACEP without ISP access for three hours), simplified DNS failover, enabled remote recovery without on-site intervention, and helped prevent potential revenue loss and service interruptions for online reservations and other critical services.
