Case Study: Law Firm achieves reliability and redundancy for VPN and VoIP with FatPipe Networks IPVPN

A FatPipe Networks Case Study

Preview of the Law Firm Case Study

A LAW Firm Uses Fatpipe Technology for Reliability and Redundancy

Law Firm, a large practice with more than 450 lawyers focused on litigation and corporate transactions, needed to increase WAN bandwidth and achieve fault tolerance for its VPN and VoIP applications without paying for additional MPLS circuits. After evaluating options, the firm selected FatPipe Networks’ IPVPN to aggregate existing MPLS and 100 Mbps Internet links across its sites.

FatPipe Networks installed four IPVPN units across three locations (two in an automatic primary/standby cluster at the Chicago headquarters, and single units at New York and Washington, D.C.), combined MPLS and 100 Mbps Internet circuits, and used policy routing to steer VoIP and backups over MPLS while running day-to-day data on the Internet VPN. The deployment delivered the intended redundancy and traffic control, provided seamless automatic failover so users didn’t notice circuit failures, simplified management, and—per the firm—produced no service failures in three years.
