Worldline, through Bambora, needed a more flexible and cost-effective way to secure online payment processing in AWS. Its existing CDN WAF and AWS WAF approach was too limited for modern threats, expensive to operate, and lacked the visibility and control needed to protect sensitive transactions.

Fastly implemented its Next-Gen WAF alongside AWS Shield to provide application-layer protection and real-time monitoring for attacks such as credential stuffing and business logic abuse. Fastly gave Worldline scalable defense across APIs and microservices, improved visibility for cloud and DevOps teams, and reduced operational burden while strengthening protection for high-risk payments.
