Superology, a Croatian tech company in the sports betting and online entertainment space, needed to solve challenges around performance, scalability, observability, and authentication as its SuperSocial product grew inside the Superbet app. The company turned to Fastly, using its CDN Edge Cloud platform to deliver faster mobile experiences and support a world-first social network for betting fans.

With Fastly, Superology implemented edge caching, request collapsing, origin shielding, real-time log streaming, and JWT authentication at the edge to reduce origin load and improve reliability. The results included support for peak traffic of up to 15,000 requests per second, content invalidation in under 150 milliseconds, and a 98% hit rate for sports data delivery. Fastly also helped Superology cache live streaming and SSE content efficiently, enabling a smoother, more scalable fan experience.
