Working with Fastly, and using Fastly’s edge cloud network and purge capabilities, Slate aimed to support its growing podcast membership platform, Supporting Cast, while keeping subscriber content accurate and accessible.

Fastly implemented surrogate key purging, edge delivery, and other platform tools to help Slate update content in seconds instead of 15 minutes. The switch improved deployment speed, enabled granular access control for podcast episodes and feeds, and supported tens of thousands of new users each month, all without bandwidth worries or added domain setup costs.
