Paramount Global needed a more performance-driven, flexible approach to streaming delivery and wanted to avoid vendor lock-in across its multi-CDN strategy. It partnered with Fastly for CDN delivery, APIs, and real-time logging, using Fastly to support video performance and developer tooling across its global streaming products.

Fastly helped Paramount build a unified multi-CDN control layer, normalize performance metrics, and move lightweight data processing and ETL jobs to the edge with Compute@Edge. As a result, Fastly became more than a CDN provider: Paramount said Fastly is consistently a top performer on client-side tests for availability, throughput, TTLB, and TTFB, while also improving efficiency by offloading client-side logic and supporting faster innovation.
