The company turned to Fastly and its edge cloud platform to simplify a complex legacy setup while supporting faster, more reliable holiday search and booking experiences.
Fastly implemented edge caching, image optimization, TLS, GeoIP detection, real-time log streaming to BigQuery, and Compute for edge-based experimentation. The results included a 51% improvement in First Contentful Paint, an 80% reduction in time-to-first-byte, and an 11% increase in landing-page conversion rate in about six weeks, while also reducing infrastructure complexity and costs.
