New Relic, an observability platform with a full-stack data platform for metrics, events, logs, and traces, needed a vendor that could reliably ingest customer data from around the world in near real time. The company’s challenge was ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance so critical data could reach its systems without delays or failures. Fastly was selected to help support this global data delivery, including traffic routing and edge infrastructure needs.

Fastly implemented a performant, scalable, and reliable solution using its global points of presence and edge capabilities, along with support for BYOIP and ongoing technical partnership. As a result, New Relic reported that data arrives “without a glitch,” performance testing exceeded expectations, and availability for monitoring and alerting remained a top priority. Fastly’s Compute also opened the door for future projects to route data to specific data centers and clouds worldwide.
