Simbe needed a low-cost, flexible way to manufacture small batches of critical plastic parts for its Tally 3.0 autonomous retail robot but couldn’t justify injection-molding tooling. Fast Radius partnered with Simbe to provide an alternative manufacturing approach—primarily cast urethane parts and consultative, multi-process finishing—to meet the startup’s strict quality and iteration needs.

Fast Radius matched and optimized polyurethane formulations, refined part designs, and combined machining with adhesive, silkscreen, and paint finishing to deliver reliable low-volume production that preserved agility. As a result, Fast Radius produced 100% of Simbe’s cast urethane parts, supported deployment of 100+ Tally 3.0 robots, and helped Simbe save $30,000 in engineering costs while meeting dimensional, appearance, and durability requirements.
