Colorado Parks and Wildlife - Customer Case Study

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) faced the challenge of securing long-term, stable funding to maintain the state's natural areas. To address fluctuating revenue, they sought to implement a discounted annual parks pass program tied to vehicle registrations. They collaborated with vendor Fast Enterprises to integrate this new Keep Colorado Wild Pass into the state's existing DRIVES system, which is managed by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Fast Enterprises implemented the solution by building the Keep Colorado Wild Pass functionality directly into the statewide vehicle registration process. The result was a new, consistent source of funding for CPW, achieved by automatically offering a significantly discounted $29 parks pass with each registration. This initiative made park access more affordable for residents and funded vital programs, ensuring the preservation of Colorado’s parks for future generations.
