Supercharging GCB Cocoa's Sustainability in Cote d'Ivoire

GCB Cocoa, the world's fourth-largest cocoa processor, sought to address supply chain challenges and prove its cocoa was not linked to deforestation. They needed a solution to provide first-mile traceability from smallholder farmers in Côte d'Ivoire. To achieve this, they selected the Farmforce SaaS platform for food supply chain management and traceability.

Farmforce implemented its software across 11 cooperatives, covering nearly 6,000 farmers. The solution provided critical field mapping for deforestation monitoring and integrated surveys to track commitments against child labour. Beyond traceability, GCB Cocoa used Farmforce for certification management and program impact monitoring. As a result, the company is now planning a major expansion, forecasting to nearly double the number of producers managed through Farmforce by 2023.
