Preview of the Largest Supermarket Chain Case Study

Indonesia's largest grocer executes over 100,000 routes and saves 10,000 hours with FarEye's auto-routing solution

Largest Supermarket Chain, Indonesia’s largest grocer (est. 1997 with 180+ stores across 40 cities), was hindered by manual route planning, low fleet utilization and poor order visibility — each route took about 120 minutes to generate, causing higher fuel use, long unloading times and inaccurate stock confirmation. The retailer engaged FarEye and its auto-routing/last-mile platform to automate routing, improve real-time shipment visibility and boost delivery success.

FarEye automated routing from warehouses to stores, cutting route planning from 120 minutes to under 3 minutes and enabling 100% shipment visibility, a 98% distribution center success rate and 94% on-time deliveries; the chain now runs over 100,000 routes, saved about 10,000 hours, increased SPORH from 1 to 8.7 and SPR from 1 to 15, and gained sustainability dashboards for mileage, fuel efficiency and carbon monitoring. By deploying FarEye, the customer improved asset and manpower utilization, reduced dispatch time and achieved measurable cost and environmental benefits.
