Southern Star Dolphin Cruise, a Destin-based dolphin cruise operator, wanted to improve the guest experience while creating a new revenue opportunity. Using FareHarbor’s booking platform, they looked for a way to ease long waits in the Florida sun and make boarding more comfortable for guests.
FareHarbor helped Southern Star launch the Preboard Pass, a low-cost upsell that gave guests early boarding, seat selection, and refreshments before departure. Implemented for just $250 in signage, the add-on was selected by 20–25% of guests in 2024, totaling about 5,755 purchases, and quickly became a scalable source of added revenue and higher guest satisfaction.
