Adventures Out West, a Colorado and Arizona outdoor adventure tour operator, needed a better way to manage its high volume of in-person bookings. More than half of its reservations were sold at the front desk, but its third-party point of sale and FareHarbor online booking system were not integrated, creating manual reconciliation work, availability issues, and a disjointed walk-up booking experience.
To solve this, Adventures Out West implemented FareHarbor Dock, FareHarbor’s booking point-of-sale solution, to unify online and offline sales in one system. With staff mode and a touch-friendly interface, the team processed 92% of walk-up bookings in under 3 minutes, reduced manual work, avoided overbooking and underbooking, and scaled operations by adding more tablets across locations.
