How our booking point of sale revolutionized a Midwest state fair’s ticketing experience, facilitating 10,000 ticket sales during their five-day event

Midwest State Fair, a long-running annual event in the Midwest, needed a better way to handle high-volume in-person ticket sales during its five-day fair. Its previous third-party POS system was too complex for staff to learn quickly, which created confusion, slowed checkout, and led to long wait times for visitors.

FareHarbor implemented its booking point-of-sale app, FareHarbor Dock, across eight selling booths using tablet-based Staff mode. The solution streamlined payments and ticket processing, helping the fair sell 10,000 tickets across 4,335 transactions in five days—about 2,000 tickets per day—while making the workflow easier for staff and improving the customer experience.
